Hueso to serve new term on the Senate for the 2015-2016 legislative session

(Sacramento, CA) – In a ceremony at the State Capitol on Monday, December 1st, 2014, Senator Ben Hueso took the oath of office for the 2015-2016 Legislative Session, a new term on the Senate for Hueso. Senate session was called to order by Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom and remarks were delivered by Senate President pro Tempore Kevin de León and Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff.

(Sacramento, CA) – During a November 20 quarterly meeting, the Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) approved approximately $26 million in grants to help restore and protect fish and wildlife habitats throughout California. The funds for all these projects come from bond initiatives approved by voters to help preserve and protect California's natural resources. The approved grants include $3.3 million for Salton Sea species and habitat conservation.

(Imperial Valley, CA) – This Monday, November 24, Senator Ben Hueso will host his second annual “Turkey Club” giveaway at the Neighborhood House of Calexico and Catholic Charities in El Centro. Senator Hueso will be distributing turkeys to over 1,000 families in need throughout Senate District 40. Donations kindly provided by Northgate Market, Food 4 Less, Tapatio Auto and Truck Wrecking, Inc., Vazquez Truckline, and Otay Auto Auction.
