Senator Ben Hueso

Dear Friend:

As the year comes to a close, it's important to highlight the ways in which California is progressing through legislative change. This past year the state welcomed a new governor, as well as new representatives to the Legislature. My colleagues in the Legislature and I worked tirelessly and across party lines to craft solutions to continue moving the state forward. We proposed and evaluated bills addressing workers' protections, access to housing and transportation, environmental justice, public health and more.

Below for your information are some of the legislative accomplishments that I fought for to address the important issues of the 40th Senate District and California. Thank you for your input throughout the legislative process and for your continued engagement in civic participation.

This upcoming year promises to be another busy one, as the Legislature continues tackling important issues like affordable housing, job creation, wildfire prevention and safety, and improving access to quality healthcare and education.

For more information, or if you need assistance with a state agency, do not hesitate to contact my Capitol or district offices.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season!

Sincerely,

Ben Hueso
State Senator
40th Senate District
