Dear Neighbor,
Many Californians who meet the California Department of Public Health's criteria for increased susceptibility to COVID-19 infection are concerned about their ability to safely cast their ballot and have it be counted in the November 3rd General Election. To accommodate those individuals and to reduce community transmittal of the Novel Coronavirus, the State of California will be sending a vote-by-mail ballot to every registered voter with a prepaid postage return envelope (AB 860). In addition, this fall ballot drop boxes will be available as will safe in-person voting opportunities with sufficient physical distancing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for voters who choose to go to polling locations (SB 423).
One of the safest, fastest and easiest ways to vote this November is by mail. For more information, visit vote.ca.gov or your local county registrar (sdvote.com for San Diego County, elections.imperialcounty.org for Imperial County). To track your ballot, visit wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact my offices.
Sincerely,
Ben Hueso
Senator, 40th District
